England will look to retain their title as European Champions at U19 level, having beaten Portugal in the final in Georgia last year.

Ennis and Ferguson have both been selected in Paul Simpson's squad for this year's tournament, with the nation's competition kicking off this week against Turkey, in what is the first of three group games.

The Young Lions will then face Ukraine and France, before the knock-out stages begin. Both players have featured in England's other youth levels.

Ennis struggled last season after suffering a serious knee injury early into a loan spell with Shrewsbury Town, but did register an assist in the club's Carabao Cup defeat to Nottingham Forest before being sidelined.

He made his return to the pitch in February for Wolves' U23 squad, scoring twice over the remainder of the season.

Ferguson meanwhile did feature on the bench for Albion's first-team mid-way through last season, but didn't make the pitch during their 0-0 draw with Liverpool in December.

He featured heavily at centre-back for Albion's U18 and U23 sides, scoring once against Southampton U23s.

Both players linked up with their international teammates on Tuesday before flying out to Scandinavia.

The tournament runs until July 29, with all of England's games being broadcast live on Sky.

Meanwhile, Ruben Vinagre will also be heading to the tournament with his native Portugal, after joining Wolves on a permanent deal earlier this summer.
