Wolves

Newcastle United are the latest team to be linked with Wolves target Oleksandr Zinchenko.

Nuno is keen to add the talented youngster to his squad, but could see a move scuppered by interest elsewhere - with Fulham previously linked with a move before the Magpies.

The promising player featured at full-back for City last season, but prefers to play in an attacking midfield role.

Sporting want Wolves to be placed under a transfer embargo over the next two windows following their signing of goalkeeper Rui Patricio this summer.

Wolves brought in the experienced goalkeeper following his decision to cancel his contract at his boyhood club.

The Portuguese side have now written to FIFA to complain, claiming that they want a sizeable fee, a ban for the stopper and a transfer restriction placed upon Wolves.

West Brom

Despite reports over the weekend, Matt Phillips isn't a man on Newcastle United's shopping list right now.

The Scottish winger was linked with an £11m move to the north-east this weekend, but fresh reports claim that he is not the focus of Rafa Benitez's efforts - who instead wants a striker.

Phillips has also been linked with a move to Middlesbrough recently.

Burnley has reportedly baulked at the price West Brom have slapped on Craig Dawson's head, along with the defender's wage demands.

It's thought that the central defender will depart The Hawthorns this summer following the club's relegation, with Albion wanting a reported £20m for his services.

Burnley reportedly don't value the defender at that price, and are also said to be worried about his £75,000-a-week wage demands.

Aston Villa

Steve Bruce is casting his eye over veteran midfielder Dean Marney, as reports claim the 34-year-old is training with Villa.

The former Burnley man is free to join a new club after being released by the Clarets at the end of the season.

Nottingham Forest also hold a reported interest in him too, but Villa seem to have a head start on them in the race for his signature.

Meanwhile, Stoke City are reportedly preparing a £7m bid for Villa defender James Chester.

The Wales international was subject to a £5m bid from Gary Rowett's side over the weekend, which was swiftly rejected.

Villa reportedly want around £10m for the influential defender, but Stoke are keen to test their resolve as they know of Villa's financial plight.

Walsall

Walsall could be offered a lifeline from Stoke City in the form of defenders Ryan Sweeney or Harry Souttar, after the horrific injury sustained by Kory Roberts against the Potters over the weekend.

The young Walsall defender suffered a double leg break in a collision with Sweeney, and will likely miss the entire 2018/19 season.

Rowett has confirmed that he's like to build a link with Walsall, beginning with a move to help Walsall cope with Roberts' loss.
