Both Wolves and Villa have had successful campaigns so far, with Diogo Jota helping Nuno's side to the Championship title whilst the Villans can secure their promotion if they beat Fulham at the play-off final this weekend.

Jota joined Wolves at the beginning of this season on-loan, scoring 18 goals, and is set to make his move permanent this summer.

Meanwhile, Snodgrass also joined Villa on-loan at the start of the season and has notched 14 assists, tied with Barry Douglas for the most this season in the second tier.

His future is likely to be based on the club's league status next season.

The pair are up against former Villa and West Brom defender Curtis Davies, Norwich's James Maddison, Cardiff's Sean Morrison and Fulham's teen sensation Ryan Sessegnon for the award.
