The Wanderer was in pole position ahead of runner-up Mark Dudbridge, who also claimed a two-year PDC Pro Tour card.

The thrower from Wednesfield finished on a high, too, with a run to the final of one of two tournaments on Saturday and a third Challenge Tour title of the year on Sunday.

Stourbridge’s Nick Fullwell picked up his second Challenge Tour title on Saturday, too, to finish 13th in the rankings with £3,350 earned in prize money.

A total of £200,000 has been paid out to players on the Challenge Tour in 2017 and Jones has helped himself to £10,300 of it.
