Only the first of two scheduled games produced a result as the rain brought an early end to proceedings at Knypersley.

Batting first, Staffs were restricted to 123-6 from their 20 overs.

Mike Hill top scored with 41 while Peter Wilshaw and Louis Allison made 23 and 24 respectively.

Gary Pratt then led Cumberland’s victory charge with his 54 at the top of the order helping them to 89-3 and a win via Duckworth/Lewis as the rain hit.

Walsall allrounder Billy Cox was the pick of the Staffs attack with 2-9 from two overs.

Staffs have finished bottom of Group One after picking up just one win from seven completed matches.
