Worcestershire have been relegated to County Championship Division Two after suffering an innings and 129 run defeat to Essex.

The county had only been promoted to Division One last season but defeat means they will return straight back to the second tier.

Jamie Porter was once again the chief destroyer of the Worcestershire batting line-up as he ended the second innings with 4-76, handing him match figures of 11-98.

Meanwhile, Warwickshire are on the brink of promotion. Needing only a draw with Sussex to confirm their elevation they entered the last day on 141-0, an advantage of 238.
