The Rowley Regis boxer – signed to Black Country Boxing – is set to face Leeds’ Reece Cartwright for the English crown, as ordered by the British Boxing Board of Control that he will compete for the English crown.

With the contest out at purse bids, BCB’s head of boxing, Errol Johnson, has moved quickly to get reigning Midlands Area middleweight champion Denny ready for his title tilt.

“It’s important to get Tyler out,” Johnson said. “Tyler’s last fight was a six-rounder in May so he needs a few rounds in before starting camp for the Cartwright fight.”

Also on the bill this weekend is BCB’s new signing at super bantamweight, James Beech Junior.

The Bloxwich native is joined by Walsall’s Shaun Cooper (super lightweight) and Levi Ferguson (super welterweight).

Wolverhampton cruiserweight Antony Woolery is also in action.

Tickets are on sale now from the Walsall Town Hall Box Office.
