But who is Price, and what is his background?
Price is currently the technical director with Maccabi Tel Aviv, having taken over the role at the club back in July 2023.
There he was working alongside former Premier League striker Robbie Keane, who was manager of the club at the time.
But Price's footballing journey back in England with Liverpool.
He had joined the Reds initially as a coach for the club's international football academies back in 2011 and spent nine years with the Premier League champions.
Having risen through the ranks there, he moved on to Blackpool where he served as first team analyst at the club.
He departed there in 2022, making a return to Liverpool before departing for Israel a year later.
Back then, it was reported that he was set to be a huge loss for the Merseyside club, having been a highly regarded member of the backroom staff.
