Tyler Denny to make December ring return
Tyler Denny is poised to make a long-awaited return to the ring in Dudley next month.
The former European middleweight champion will top the bill at the Town Hall on Saturday, December 6 when he takes on Grant Dennis.
It will be Denny’s first fight since beating Elvis Ahorgah in April and only his second since losing his European crown to Hamza Sheeraz at Wembley Stadium in September, 2024.
Denny has endured a hugely frustrating year due to the difficulties experienced by his promoter, Boxxer, following the loss of its exclusive contract with Sky Sports.
Despite agreeing a new broadcast deal with the BBC, Boxxer has so far announced only one new show, with Denny not on the undercard of Frazer Clarke’s British heavyweight title clash with Jamie Tshikeva in Derby on November 29.
The 34-year-old from Rowley Regis will instead headline a BCB Promotions show against Dennis, who has lost his last nine fights.
"I’m really excited to finally be back out boxing again," said Denny. “I'm grateful to BCB for the opportunity. It's a local show, so I’m expecting a great atmosphere.
“Despite talks of other fights next year, my 100 percent focus is on Grant Dennis.
“I’ve been in the gym a long time without a fight date, and I can’t wait to show people all the hard work that I’ve been putting in, day in, day out."
Brierley Hill heavyweight Ben Collins is also on the bill along with Wolverhampton’s Mia Holland.
Tickets are available either directly from the boxers or by emailing info@bcb-promotions.com
