West Brom fans discovered their first four fixture changes - with many left unhappy with one in particular.

Three away games and a home fixture have been tweaked after the first announcement of live Sky Sports televised games.

One fixture will create a headache for travelling Albion fans - as their Saturday trip to Middlesbrough in mid September has now been moved to a Friday evening.

It was the first live fixture announcement from Sky Sports - and in past seasons Albion fans have been left frustrated by a host of late changes and tweaks to their fixtures.

The issue has even been brought up at past Albion Assembly meetings - due to the fan reaction to difficult fixture changes.

However, that changed last season and it will be the same this campaign.

The announcements for fixtures across the EFL came on Friday morning - with no other changes set to be made before the end of September.

But fans can expect more televised fixture news very soon.

The EFL has committed to giving fans as much notice as possible when it comes to changing fixtures - and with that they will soon announce another raft of tweaks.

They have stated that all TV selections for the period up to the FA Cup third round weekend on January 10, will be confirmed before a ball is kicked for the new EFL campaign.

It was the case last season as well - as the EFL has changed its practice to give fans more time to plan before midweek and weekend changes.
