But in this unusual summer transfer window - it seems the concerns are with at least two of the sides that have come up into the division.

Usually those who have just survived are simply eyeing survival - but given the way things have gone recently for both Wrexham and Birmingham City they will want more than that.

The US owned pair will bring a different scenario to the Championship this season - and judging by their reported transfer targets, they are aiming high.

Wrexham certainly are and having already been linked with the likes of Tom Cairney and Jamie Vardy in this window - they are reportedly planning a double Premier League swoop.

According to Sky Sports, Wrexham have held talks with representatives of both Tottenham centre back Ben Davies and West Ham striker Danny Ings.

Spurs are trying to get Davies to sign a new deal, but a move to Wrexham may well be on the cards.

Ings will depart West Ham this summer as a free agent, and has already been on the radar of Watford, according to reports.
