Darts round-up: Crushing win for Junction B over clubmates puts them in charge

Junction B moved four points clear to top the Tettenhall Wednesday Snooker League after crushing second-placed Junction A 6-1.

Simon Pritchard, Paul Bromley, Mark Curley, Luke Griffiths, Jamie Hughes and Callum Parkes did the damage, while Red Lion A came back from 3-2 down to defeat Red Lion B 4-3. Tyler Petford, Harrison Owen, Matt Coombs and Owen Alloway all won.

Swan Compton enjoyed a 4-3 victory at Winning Post courtesy of Nige Southwick, Dodge Booth, John Mycock Jnr and Mick Scott.

Unbeaten Dudley Ex had a great 3-2 victory over Soccer Zone A in the Black Country Super League, with Mark Rollinson, Harry Williams and Jamie Rollinson all winners.

Leaders Quarry Bank Libs bounced back to winning ways by defeating Townsend A 3-2, thanks to George Willetts, John Green and Gav Moreton.

Townsend Social overcame Whiteheath Tavern 4-1 courtesy of Matt Tedstone, Richard Duncan, Rich Hosey and Trevor Brennan.

Glassy Junction’s Callum Parkes, Luke Griffiths, Sean Bastable, Dean Wilkinson and John Aston claimed the Wednesfield Sunday Fred Maclean Trophy without dropping a single leg all day in the final.

They defeated Junction’s Jack Duck, Mikey Harris, Richard New, Jimmy Handley and Len Slade 3-0, following both sides enjoying 3-0 semi-final wins over Gunmakers and Victoria respectively.

Ryan O’Connor took the honours in the Junction Open, defeating Richard Newey 6-0 in the final. O’Connor ousted Modus Super Series qualifier Will Beaden 5-0 in the semi-finals, while Newey beat Luke Griffiths 5-1.
