The Magpies are reportedly keen on a move for the 24-year-old this summer, while it has been suggested Villa would demand at least £30million to let him go.

Considering Villa's concerns with the Premier League's profit and sustainability regulations (PSR) this summer, a big sale may be necessary to ensure they avoid breaking the rules.

Newcastle's Joe Willock has also been linked with a move away, which could trigger a move for Ramsey in the coming months.

Ramsey rose through the Villa academy and after a short loan spell at Doncaster Rovers and his first senior Villa start then came in September 2020.

He has scored 17 goals and registered 19 assists in 167 Villa appearances in all competitions.

Meanwhile, Villa have been linked with a move for Rennes defender Adrien Truffert.

The left-back is being watched by several clubs and reportedly has a £20million price tag, with Bournemouth also interested.

The 23-year-old has impressed at the French outfit after coming through their academy.

Truffert earned his first senior France call-up in September 2022, replacing the injured Lucas Digne for his country's Nations League games.

If a move to Villa materialises, he will battle countryman Digne for a place in the starting XI.
