West Brom make first summer schedule announcement as major change revealed

West Brom fans have had to endure some frustrating pre-season campaigns in recent years.

In the two summers under Carlos Corberan, the Spaniard opted to play a lot of Albion's games behind closed doors meaning fans were unable to go and watch their side preparing for the new campaign.

They were let into a handful of fixtures - but for both summers the majority of the games were played away from supporters.

So Albion fans will have been delighted by news that emerged on Thursday evening, as Albion announced their first two pre-season friendlies.

As is the case with many games in pre-season for bigger clubs, Albion will make two trips away from home as part of their pre-season plans.

The first will be on Saturday July 19 - as Albion take on former boss Steve Bruce and his Blackpool side at Bloomfield Road.

Then on July 26, they will be on the road again as they travel to the LNER Stadium to face Lincoln City.

Tickets for both clashes will be available on the club's website at a later date.
