It certainly has been a chaotic season for Walsall under Mat Sadler but there finally appears to be light at the end of the tunnel.
The celebrations at the full-time whistle showed just how much it means to the fans. It's been six long years in the EFL's basement division and many feared how the play-offs would unfold after the psychological blow of their post-January collapse.
They headed into their two legs against Chesterfield in desperate form following a run of just three wins in 21 games which included a 13-match winless run.
The 1-0 win at Crewe Alexandra on the final day saw a return to winning ways and they've been able to carry that momentum into the play-offs.
