Tommy Simkin - 7

Super stop - Very little he could do about both goals but produced a stunning save to deny Cole Stockton's low volley in the second half.

David Okagbue - 6

Challenging - Dragged out of position in the build-up to both goals especially Salford's second as he left Hakeeb Adelakun completed unmarked to run in behind.

Harry Williams - 6

Mixed - Prevented Matty Lund from breaking one-on-one with an important last ditch challenge but was beaten in the air by Cole Stockton in build-up to Salford's second.

Taylor Allen - 7

Versatile - Struck wide on the half volley and forced a save out of Jamie Jones with a thumping free-kick in the first half. Looked dangerous when he stepped up into midfield for the final 20 minutes.

Ryan Stirk - 6

Mixed - Gave the ball away cheaply to allow Salford to break on the counter-attack for their second goal but found Evan Weir out wide in the build-up to Walsall's first.
