With all of professional European sport on an indefinite hiatus, athletes from around the continent have been finding novel ways to keep themselves fit and entertained during the forced postponement.

1. Anthony Martial

Let’s be honest, you’ve thought about doing something strange to your hair at least once over the last couple of weeks, right?

Maybe you’ve decided to grow it out, maybe you want to dye it a weird colour you’ve always been too scared to try. Now is the time for mistakes.

And there is no more dramatic - and simple - change you can make to your hair than to shave it.

With no hairdressers available for the foreseeable, Anthony Martial decided a razor was all he needed

2. Mbwana Samatta

Footballers have been posting and taking part juggling toilet rolls, Aston Villa's Mbwana Samatta has started a new version.

The Tanzania international took this challenge to another level, not using tissue paper, but a teabag!

Watch as the forward juggles a tea bag into a cup, before pouring over some boiling water and making a proper brew.

Although we think granulated coffee might be a step too far for the Villa ace!

3. Shkodran Mustafi

Mustafi and his chocolate ice-cream

We don’t know exactly when football will return, but players know they must retain their fitness during this unexpected down time.

It can be hard to motivate yourself, but Arsenal defender Shkodran Mustafi has rather cleverly found a way to keep himself focused on the goal at hand.

When you're burning large amount of calories on the bike, you need the occasional sugar rush to keep you in the zone.

And Mustafi's daughter appears to be the perfect cheerleader with some chocolate deliciousness!

4. Granit Xhaka

And when boredam gets the better of you, it's time to start pranking the family.

Former Arsenal skipper Granit Xhaka didn't let his newborn get off lightly.

The midfielder offered the youngster a nice refreshing slice of lemon and recorded the whole think to pink panther music.

To say the baby was less than impressed would be the understatement of the year!
