We are not saying they are true – just that they are out there.

WOLVES

Wolves are apparently one of the three Championship clubs looking to hand Walsall loanee George Evans his step up to the Championship.

The Manchester City midfielder is with the League One Saddlers until January 9, when his parent club may want him to go up a division.

Burnley and Sheffield Wednesday are also keen on the 20-year-old, who has netted three times in just six appearances since joining Walsall.

WEST BROM-ASTON VILLA

West Midlands rivals West Brom and Aston Villa are two of a host of Premier League clubs on the trail of £14million-rated striker Laurent Depoitre.

The 27-year-old Belgium international plays for Gent in his homeland but has refused to sign an extension to his current contract, which expires next year.

That has put English top-flight sides on high alert that he could be enticed overseas, but competition is likely to be fierce for his services.

WALSALL

As well as losing Evans, there is also increasing danger that star teenager Rico Henry could be on the move from the Banks's Stadium.

Walsall are braced for serious bids in relation to the 18-year-old in January, with Tottenham Hotspur seemingly the new front-runners.

Spurs may appeal to the Birmingham-born left-back, after Dele Alli was plucked from Milton Keynes Dons and pitched into the first-team, which earned him an England call-up.
