We are not saying they are true – just that they are out there.

WOLVES

Sources are suggesting that Wolves have already rejected a £1.5million bid from Championship rivals Fulham for defender Richard Stearman.

The club's longest-serving player and double Player of the Year will, instead, begin talks over a new contract to extend his stay at Molineux.

But out-of-contract Wolves winger Bakary Sako looks to be heading to Leicester City, who will move ahead of Premier League cohorts Everton by making a concrete offer.

The Mali international, 27, wants to move to Goodison Park but the financial package available with the Foxes may be more to his liking.

WEST BROM

West Brom could offer released West Ham United striker Carlton Cole a club for next season - but don't want fellow Hammers reject Nene.

Cole came as close as possible to signing for the Baggies in January, but the move was called off at the last minute on transfer deadline day.

The 31-year-old is now a free agent and would be interested in resurrecting the switch, but boss Tony Pulis wants to offload Brown Ideye first.

There's no place at the Hawthorns for Nene, though, after the 33-year-old Brazilian attacker turned them down to go to Upton Park in January.

ASTON VILLA

Aston Villa want to launch a move for former Newcastle United star Yohan Cabaye, but Crystal Palace appear to be in pole position to sign him.

The France midfielder cost Paris-Saint Germain £19million when he moved home from England 18 months ago, but has failed to settle again.

The 29-year-old wants Premier League football again, with Villa desperate to bolster their ranks with quality. However, it appears Cabaye has got his heart set on a move to London.

WALSALL

All quiet at the Banks's Stadium today.
