We are not saying they are true – just that they are out there.

WOLVES

Wolves could be rivalled by Scottish giants Glasgow Celtic if they do decide to make a move for released West Brom midfielder Youssouf Mulumbu.

Wolves legend Steve Bull this week urged the club to make a move for the Congo international, a free agent after six years spent at the Hawthorns.

But Celtic can offer the 28-year-old the incentive of Champions League football and a challenge for the Scottish Premiership title on a regular basis.

WEST BROM

West Brom could rekindle their interest in former England international Peter Crouch this summer, who is struggling to pin down a starting place at Stoke City.

The 34-year-old striker only signed a new two-year contract at the Britannia Stadium in January, but will be disappointed at his lack of game time with the Potters.

And that has given the Baggies heart that he could be persuaded to make a move, with boss Tony Pulis known to be a fan of the gangly target-man.

ASTON VILLA

Liverpool are currently the only club prepared to trigger the £32million release clause in Aston Villa forward Christian Benteke's contract, which was revealed today.

The Belgium international will lead the line for the claret and blues in tomorrow's FA Cup final against Arsenal at Wembley, in what could prove to be his last game for the club.

WALSALL

All quiet at the Banks's Stadium today.
