Transfer Rumours - January 19
Expressandstar.com bring you all of the latest transfer talk from Wolves, West Brom, Aston Villa and Walsall.
We are not saying they are true – just that they are out there.
WOLVES
It looks like Wolves could be in the market for a strike partner to aid their capture from Arsenal, Benik Afobe, according to insiders in Belgium.
They understand a bid is being prepared for Guinea international Idrissa Sylla, a gangly but skilful centre-forward playing for Zulte Waregem.
His contract expires this summer after joining in 2013 from Le Mans in France, where he was been dubbed 'the new Chris Waddle.'
Obviously, there's no physical likeness, more the similarities in playing style likeness to the former Newcastle and Tottenham attacker.
WEST BROM
West Brom could have to front shock interest in defender Joleon Lescott from Greek champions Olympiakos, who could offer him a lucrative deal.
The 32-year-old former Wolves, Everton and Manchester City star only signed a two-year contract after leaving the latter last summer.
He's been an ever-present in the Baggies' Premier League campaign, since missing the first four games of the season through injury.
ASTON VILLA
Aston Villa are the latest club to show an interest in Lewis Cook, after sending scouts to watch him play for Leeds United against Birmingham.
Liverpool have also been to watch the 17-year-old, who is emerging as one of the bright young talents of the Championship at a tender age.
With that in mind, Villa may need to table a size-able offer quickly if they are to land the teenager before another Premier League club comes in.
WALSALL
All quiet at the Banks's Stadium.
