WOLVES

Leeds United have entered the race and will rival Celtic for the services of Wolves striker Kevin Doyle. Leeds boss Brian McDermott discovered the player for Reading.

WEST BROM

West Brom and Premier League rivals Southampton are tracking Tunisia striker Saber Khelifa, who plays for French club Evian, with bids expected to open at £3.4million.

ASTON VILLA

Sources in Denmark suggest that Aston Villa have had a £3million offer rejected for Ivorian-born defender Jores Okore, who plays for Nordsjaelland in his adopted country.

Aston Villa midfielder Barry Bannan is emerging as a loan target for Championship side Leicester City, despite breaking back into the first-team at the end of last season.

BIRMINGHAM

Birmingham City are trying to find a way to land Gillingham midfielder Jack Payne, 21, but his loan club Peterborough United are also keen on making his move permanent.

Nikola Zigic could be offered a new two-year contract by Birmingham City, in the hope of spreading the cost of his £65,000-a-week wages. His deal has a year left to run.
