We have scoured the back pages and the internet to bring you the latest gossip. We're not saying it's all true, but this is what's out there.

WEST BROM

Shane Long has shrugged off speculation off a January move, with Liverpool being linked with a move for the striker.

Huddersfield boss Simon Grayson is looking to bid £1m for Albion striker Chris Wood, who is currently on loan with Millwall.

Meanwhile. Leeds boss Neil Warnock is considering a move for Max Gradel if he is unable to bring West Brom winger Jerome Thomas to Elland Road on a permanent deal. The 29-year-old has not featured under Steve Clarke this season.

ASTON VILLA

Boss Paul Lambert has insisted that goalkeeper Shay Given will not be sold in January, after falling behind Brad Guzan in the Villa Park pecking order.

Meanwhile, in the race for Robbie Keane, ClubCall report that Aston Villa will scrap with QPR for the Republic of Ireland striker. However, other sources suggest that the MLS man wants to use the winter break to recover. A case of wait and see. . .
