Aston Villa are among a group of clubs who will be watching FC Cluj winger Modou Sougou in action at Manchester United in the Champions League tonight.
Newcastle, Norwich, Bolton and Swansea are also keeping tabs on the 27-year-old.
The Senegal international is available for about £2 million and is known to want to leave Romania in January.
Villa have also been linked with a move for Red Star Belgrade youngster Filip Jankovic. The Serbia Under-17 international was also reported to be a target of Roma.
WEST BROM
Brentford's sporting director Mark Warburton is in the frame to replace Dan Ashworth as sporting and technical director at The Hawthorns. Warburton is believed to have held early talks with the Baggies.
