Young praise for Laursen

Ashley Young insists Martin Laursen "would run through a brick wall" to win a header for Villa.

The flying winger also revealed his "practice makes perfect" policy is behind Villa's setpiece success this season.

Young created Villa's first two goals in Saturday's 3-1 success for John Carew and Martin Laursen as Martin O'Neill's side made it 20 goals from setpieces this season and six out of their last seven.

"We work on setpieces," said Young. "They've been vitally important throughout the season. Hopefully the boys will keep scoring from them if I put in a decent delivery.

"I'm always practising (free kicks), I'm always learning, I always want to get better so practising in training and taking it out onto the field is a good way.

"If there was a brick wall there, he (Laursen) would run straight through it.

"It's good to have people like him, John, Olof, Curtis, Zat – they're big boys and when they go forward they always look like scoring

"If they keep scoring, the congratulations is all I need.

"If I come off at the end of the game and I've set one up or scored, there's going to be a big buzz."
