My Top 10 Cruelty-Free High Street Beauty Products

As an animal lover, it's important to me that the products I use were not developed using animal testing, and I want to share with you my top picks of affordable makeup products, that will give high end products a run for their money! So here it is:

Primer - NYX Angel Veil - This primer fills enlarged pores effortlessly, without causing breakouts for me, it leaves a light layer over the skin which helps other products to go on smoothly and helps those products last all day!

Foundation - NYX Stay Matte But Not Flat - I would put this at medium/full coverage level, which is ideal if you want to cover any blemishes or discolouration without having to use a hundred-and-one products! It copes with my very oily skin type very well but doesn't feel drying at all, so I would also recommend this one to anyone with normal to combination skin too. It comes in 30 shades from ivory to deep dark.

Blush/Contour - NYX HD intuition/taupe - Super pigmented and a great pan size means that these products will last you a very long time! Taupe is my go-to contour powder. It's perfectly cool toned and matte, perfect for my very pale skin, and intuition is a lovely neutral coral shade with a hint of shimmer and it's a very close dupe for the higher end NARS 'orgasm' which is in every pro-kit! Definitely worth a swatch in store in Boots!!

Highlight - Freedom Makeup Pro Highlight Palette - I can't put this palette down!! Amazingly pigmented with the ability to give a natural dewy glow or an exaggerated highlight, the choice is yours!

Brow Product - Freedom Makeup Brow Pomade - I've had the same little pot of this brow pomade for around 2 years, (I know, I really should get a fresh one!) but it's absolutely brilliant and it's lost none of its moisture since the day I opened it. It's seriously easy to glide over the brows and there's a suitable shade for everyone! I pair mine with the freedom makeup brow duo for a strong looking brow but on multiple occasions I've used it alone and it's fantastic! Definitely a contender to the higher end Anastasia Beverley Hills Dip-brow!

Eyeliner - Makeup Revolution Awesome Double Flick - I am currently on my 7th or 8th of this eyeliner! I dabble in other brands from time to time, but I always go back to makeup revolution!! I tend to have trouble with eyeliners cracking up on my lids throughout the day but this one stays absolutely perfect all day long!

Concealer - Collection Lasting Perfection - This is such a lovely textured concealer!! Coming out of the tube it looks and feels quite thick but then when you blend it out with a concealer brush or blending sponge, it becomes beautifully lightweight, without losing any pigment! Goodbye dark circles!!

Matte Lip Product - Barry M Matte Me Up - I NEED TO TELL YOU ABOUT THIS LIQUID LIPSTICK RIGHT AWAY!! I wasn't expecting the earth when I first bought this product but right from the first time I tried it, I knew it was a keeper!! It's super thin in texture but the coverage is INSANE! It goes on even, although darker colours need 2 coats, it's so thin in texture you don't feel like there's 2 coats on anyway! They feel more comfortable to wear than the higher end kylie lip kits, whilst having the same durability and with no off-putting scent...in fact, no scent at all! AND it's a fraction of the cost!

Glossy Lip Product - IHeartMakeup Lip Lava - I'm not a huge fan of glosses but this product, I absolutely love! It's thicker than a standard gloss which gives it some staying power, but doesn't feel sticky or greasy, and there's loads of colour to compliment any skin tone, for any occasion!

Glitter - Barry M Fine Glitter Dust - I am obsessed with these... any way that I can get a makeup look to include these glitters, I will! This is a SUPER finely milled glitter that gives such a beautiful glow wherever you add it, I often use it at the inner corners of my eyes (although caution is recommended when using glitter close to the eyes). It's also fantastic to add some instant glam to transform a daytime makeup look into a strikingly beautiful evening look in just one step! These glitters are also PERFECT for festival season, whether you just want a little bit of a twinkle or a full-on glitter party on your face, these glitters can do it all!!
