LETTER: Everyone must be tested for virus

A reader believes everyone should be tested for coronavirus.

Suggestions by the Government that testing for the coronavirus via a smart phone might be possible, unfortunately not everyone has a smart phone.

We also hear that the over 70s might have to carry on with lockdown. Is this fair? When it has been shown many other ages have sadly died from this terrible virus. Surely this is discriminating against the elderly.

Perhaps the Government should start by checking the illegal immigrants entering the UK or has this been pushed under the carpet? The biggest problem is the ‘gangs’ who are bringing the illegal immigrants into this country at such a terrible and worrying time.

The Government is working very hard to rid our country of this shocking virus, how do we know if anyone entering the country without being tested does not have the virus?

It’s a joke! All people must be tested in this country, even the ones who do not have a ‘smart phone’.

The good news is our Prime Minister Boris Johnson is thankfully fit and well and is back in Downing Street taking charge of this country and thanking the NHS for saving his life. Congratulations to Boris and Carrie on the birth of their baby boy Wilfred. It’s good to have him back in the ‘saddle’.
