LETTER: Stay safe, don’t let your spirit break

A reader implores everyone to stay safe

Our World is still Beautiful

At present, there is chaos, times of trial and despair

An epidemic has touched our world, isolation, fear everywhere

Covid-19 has invaded our lives, hearts torn and broken in two

Loved ones, friends and family, cherished hearts of those we once knew

Plans and dreams crushed like petals of a faded summer rose

“Why?” we ask has this happened, a nightmare we would not have chose

But our world is still beautiful with kindness, loves, time to share

And the angels, who bless us day by day NHS, shop workers, those who care

Too numerous to mention, Christian spirit we see transpires every day

And each of us can contribute, in our own special way

Maybe just a phone call, a kind and tender word, or just someone to listen, allow a lost soul to be heard

Our world is still beautiful, though at times impossible to see

But each time you look at a rainbow, remember God created this for you and for me.

Keep well, stay safe, and don’t let your spirit break.
