Nothing reveals your true character quite like a crisis and when was the last time we shared a crisis as dangerous as Covid-19.

A spotlight into the furtherest corners of our local communities exposing us all has brought out the best in some the worst in others.

Bosses who have laid off and refused to pay staff are the greatest corona-plonkers.

Don't forget which companies or services have raised prices, sacked staff or refused to adhere to health guidelines.

When this crisis is ended take your custom elsewhere.

Well done to local employers who have paid staff a ten per cent bonus for their extra work.

Dealing with abusive shoppers, fighting customers just shows up how shop workers are doing over and above as some local people let themselves and us all down.

I hope we see a resurgence of generous and caring companies as Cadbury, Rowntree and Quakers once brought us.

We can choose to be a hero or villain in this crisis. The sight and sound of thousands of local people clapping our NHS and care staff this week gives us all hope that we want to be heroes too and support all our heroes at a time of crisis.
