EU funds help the West Midlands

By Star Comment | Readers' letters | Published:

What have those “unelected EU bureaucrats” ever done for us in the West Midlands?

Apart from funding for the Black Country Living Museum, RAF Cosford Museum, Dudley Zoological Gardens, Birmingham Town Hall, Birmingham University’s Biomedical Hub, Millennium Point, Walsall College, City of Wolverhampton College (part of the “Inspiration” programme to help people from deprived areas become employed), Black Country Impact (to get local young people into employment), and millions of pounds of university funding?

Let’s vote for a government that will at least keep us in the single market so our economy stands a chance. At least then we can attempt to fill the gap in funding lost without further cuts to vital public services.
