Ducklings being rescued by firefighters

When 10 tiny ducklings got trapped in a storm drain, it could have been the end.

Instead, they had local firefighters to thank as they were rescued, reunited with their mum and set free.

The ducklings got into trouble in Alameda County, California, on Saturday but firefighters descended into the drain and fished them out one by one before setting them free somewhere safe.

A Facebook post from Alameda County Fire Department read: “The ducklings were released in a nearby creek and reunited with their Momma.”
