Man due in court over the hijacking of a bus in Co Down

The 33-year-old man has also been charged with aggravated vehicle taking, possession of an offensive weapon with intent and driving whilst unfit.

A 33-year-old man is due to appear before court in Co Down accused of hijacking a bus.

The charges follow an incident in Dundonald on Saturday evening.

The man has been charged with a range of offences, including hijacking, aggravated vehicle taking, possession of an offensive weapon with intent and driving whilst unfit.

He is expected to appear at Downpatrick Magistrates court on Monday morning.
