Police are appealing for information after a fishing boat was stolen.

The Scotch Myst was taken from the Battery Road area of North Queensferry, Fife, some time between 1pm on Saturday January 5 and 8am on Monday January 7.

It is a 14ft Mayland with a yellow cabin and white hull, which was covered by a black weather protector and stored on a trailer at the time.

The boat has “Scotch Myst” written on it in red and a Johnson outboard engine.

Pc Martin Cooper said: “We’ve been conducting a number of inquiries since this was reported and are now asking for the public’s help.

“Anyone who may have seen the boat being transported from the area, or who has information on its current whereabouts, is asked to get in touch as soon as possible.”
