Police have appealed for witnesses after a woman was seriously assaulted in Stirling.

The incident took place within a residential address in the St Ninians area on Friday October 12.

Detectives are particularly eager to trace a man who helped the woman after the incident.

They believe the man, described as Asian, with limited English and who was driving a dark-coloured vehicle, may be able to assist with their investigation.

Detective Inspector Hugh Louden of Forth Valley’s Public Protection Unit said: “We are eager to trace a man who we believe to be a key witness.

“I’d ask the man, or anyone who may know who he is, to please contact us as soon as possible.”
