What the papers say

Politics tops the agenda on Sunday with several papers leading on Brexit, while the official photos from Princess Eugenie’s wedding also feature prominently.

The Sunday Telegraph reports on a “growing rebellion” over Theresa May’s plans for Brexit, as 63 Tory Eurosceptics issued a major new challenge to her authority.

A Government aide also said her proposals could cause Leave voters to “lose faith in our democracy”, the paper adds.

The Sunday Times carries calls from former Brexit secretary David Davis for a Cabinet uprising against the Prime Minister, as he accuses her of pressing ahead with a “flawed” plan to keep Britain in a customs union.

The Observer reports that Mrs May has been told that DUP leader Arlene Foster is “ready” to trigger a no-deal Brexit and sees it as the “likeliest outcome” following a meeting with the EU’s chief negotiator Michel Barnier.

Meanwhile, Brexiteer Jacob Rees-Mogg has urged the PM to get tough with the EU as Britain’s “future is at stake”, the Sunday Express says.

The paper also features one of the official wedding photos released following the marriage of Princess Eugenie and Jack Brooksbank, which shows the newlyweds surrounded by their bridesmaids and page boys.

Another official snap of Eugenie in a Zac Posen gown for the couple’s evening do is used on the front of the Mail on Sunday.

The paper leads on a story reporting the identity of a Somalian whose deportation from Britain was halted after airline passengers staged a “mutiny”.

Elsewhere, the Sunday Mirror reports that comedian Seann Walsh has been told to “keep his hands to himself” by his Strictly dance partner’s husband.

And the Sunday People claims murderer Joanna Dennehy has launched a legal fight to wed in jail.
