West Midlands Metro trams couldn't reach Wolverhampton St George's this morning

The tram operator announced shortly after 8.20am that a signal failure at The Royal mean it couldn't operate between Priestfield and the line's final stop, Wolverhampton St George's.

"Trams are operating between Priestfield and Edgbaston Village only," a statement said.

The operator added that tickets were being accepted on the National Express West Midlands route 79 between Wolverhampton and Priestfield.

As of 1pm, the issue had still not been fixed.
