Severn Trent Water is working to repair the pipe on the A454 Willenhall Road, at the junction with Moseley Road and Neachells Lane in Wolverhampton.

Repairs are expected to take until Wednesday to complete, and Severn Trent has issued an apology to customers and road users for any disruption.

A spokesman for Severn Trent said: "We’re really sorry to customers who’ve been affected by a burst water pipe on Willenhall Road.

"Work to repair the pipe proved to be more complicated than we initially thought, because of its location next to other utility networks.

"We’re pleased to say the repair is now complete and all that’s left to do now is return the road back to normal.

"We’ll need to keep temporary traffic management in place while we’re working in the area, to keep our teams and everyone else safe.

"Again, we’re sorry for the disruption, but we really appreciate everyone’s continued patience and understanding."

West Midlands Roads has also put out a tweet to warn of disruption:
