Two people injured in Tettenhall crash

Two people have been taken to hospital after a crash in Wolverhampton.

Emergency services were called to the junction of Haywood Drive and Wood Road, in Tettenhall, at around 11.15am this morning.

It is believed the driver of one of the vehicles suffered a medial emergency prior to the crash.

A West Midlands Ambulance Service spokesman said: "We were called at 11.14am on Thursday to reports of a two-car road traffic collision at the junction of Haywood Drive and Wood Road in Tettenhall.

"Two ambulances attended the scene. On arrival crews found the driver of one of the cars, a man, who was believed to have suffered a medical emergency prior to the collision.

"He was treated at the scene before being taken on blue lights and sirens to New Cross Hospital for further treatment.

"The second patient, a woman, believed to be from the other vehicle, was treated for injuries not believed to be serious and was conveyed to New Cross Hospital.”
