The hole in the A4535

A tweet by Worcestershire County Council Highways & Travel stated the A4535 Sutton Road will be closed for safety reasons.

The hole, which has appeared by the junction between Sutton Road and Talbot Street, is not large, but the council said it was concerned over the weak structure beneath.

Drivers will be diverted via the ring road and Sutton Park Road.

Council officials have said they will know more about when the road can reopen after they excavate the hole to investigate further.
