Network Rail said a signal failure blocked some trains near Queens Park in London which hit services throughout Thursday.

London Northwestern Railway services were also hit disrupting trains in and out of London Euston.

These issues were expected to continue until at least 5pm.

Officials advised some Virgin and London Northwestern services will continue terminate at alternative stations.

But they advised passengers to check before they travel as journey times will be 'significantly longer'.
