Chapel Lane will be closed to traffic between 9.30am and 3.30pm while the works are carried out.

The closure runs from the road's junction with Crook Lane to Coronation Road.

A signed diversion will be in operation via Pinfold Lane, Beacon Road, Sutton Road, Broadway North and Birmingham Road.

The 25 bus service through the area will be unaffected.

Access to properties will be maintained, and all businesses will be trading during the duration of the works.

This latest work came after a main pipe burst sending water gushing into the air earlier this year.

Giant plumes of water were filmed shooting into the air on the well-used route heading towards Barr Beacon.

And last year more than 30 buildings were left without water after a main pipe burst in the road.
