Fabbers TV date confirmed
Michael Fabricant has announced the date for his appearance on a television reality show.
The flamboyant Conservative MP for Lichfield will appear on Channel 4's Celebrity First Dates on November 2.
His appearance on the show was first announced in bizarre circumstances by Theresa May during PMQs last month.
The veteran Tory backbencher confirmed the November date on Twitter, and was immediately swamped by well wishers eager to see his appearance.
"This is going to be must watch TV. I’m cancelling all plans," wrote Craig Oliver.
Parliament Street wrote: "Looks great fun. Will be cheering you on!"
Mr Fabricant said he decided to take part in the show for charity and donated his £25,000 fee to Cancer Research UK.
He has described the experience as 'all rather nail biting'.
