Abarth has revealed a refreshed 595 range for the 2019 model year, bringing new colours and an upgraded exhaust system to the hot hatch.

The Italian machine is available in hatchback or convertible form with four trim levels – with Trofeo, Turismo and Competizione for sale on top of the standard 595 model.

It’s the Trofeo and Competizione that benefit from the most eye-catching of the new colour editions, with each model available in Adrenaline Green. Meanwhile, Asphalt Grey joins the Turismo palette.

Trofeo and Competizione variants also get a new Record Monza active exhaust system. This features a valve that is opened by a press of the ‘Sport’ button in the cockpit, delivering a ‘deeper and bolder’ engine note.

The 1.4-litre turbocharged engine in all variants has also been updated to meet Euro 6D-Temp regulations and is mated to a five-speed manual gearbox as standard – with a sequential transmission available optionally. Power output is 138bhp in base models, 158bhp for the Turismo, 163bhp in the Trofeo and 177bhp for the range-topping Competizione.

All models get a five-inch touchscreen with DAB and Fiat Chrysler Automobiles’ Uconnect Live services as standard – bar the Turismo, which receives a seven-inch system with navigation for no extra cost.

The revised Abarth 595 range starts from £15,980, with the range-topping 595C Competizione variants priced at £24,630, and is available to order now with deliveries imminent.
