Customers can now choose from six different trim levels – SE, SE Plus Pack, Luxury, F Sport, F Sport Premier Pack and Premier – with SE representing the entry-level specification.

Cars in this grade receive dual-zone air conditioning, 16-inch alloys, rain-sensing wipers and a seven-inch Lexus Media Display to name but a few features.

The SE Plus Pack, which costs from £24,995, adds 17-inch alloys, rear parking sensors, satellite navigation and the Lexus Safety System.

The CT 200h Luxury benefits from smart entry, heated front seats, rear privacy glass and front and rear parking sensors, while F Sport models gain features such as sports styling elements, performance dampers and satellite navigation. Prices for Luxury and F Sport models start at £25,995 and £26,995 respectively.

Opting for the F Sport Premier Pack will set customers back £31,245, but give them F Sport leather upholstery, a Mark Levinson surround sound system, Lexus Premium Navigation and smart keyless entry. The CT 200h Premier specification also benefits from these features, and costs £30,495.

The Lexus hatchback’s powertrain is the same as before, with a 1.8-litre four-cylinder petrol engine paired with an electric motor. With 134bhp on tap, the new CT 200h can sprint from 0-60mph in 10.1 seconds, and hit a top speed of 112mph.

The Japanese manufacturer claims the hybrid can achieve a fuel consumption figure of 74.3mpg on the combined cycle, and CO2 emissions of 88g/km.

Chika Kato, chief engineer for the CT 200h, commented: “The CT Hybrid has been refreshed and revitalised by enhancing its progressiveness. Its updated design is more emotional and sporty, making it the ideal premium hybrid compact car for younger customers who enjoy driving, but care about the environment.”
