Vauxhall has revealed prices for its upcoming Insignia Country Tourer.

Pricing for the rugged estate, which will top the Insignia range, starts at £25,635.

The Country Tourer features all-wheel drive and a 2.0-litre turbocharged diesel engine, which develops 168bhp and 400Nm of torque, taking it from 0-60mph in 8.4 seconds and up to a top speed of 137mph.

Fuel economy is a claimed 51.4mpg with CO2 emissions of 145g/km.

Three gearbox options are on offer for the estate: a six-speed manual, a six-speed automatic and an eight-speed automatic.

Standard equipment on the Country Tourer includes 18-inch alloy wheels, LED daytime running lights and rear lights, Vauxhall OnStar, keyless entry and cruise control.

Vauxhall designed the rugged estate to compete with the Volkswagen Passat Alltrack and Audi A4 Allroad. Prices for the Alltrack begin at £31,915, while the Allroad starts from £37,820 — a notable premium over the Insignia.

Stuart Harris, Vauxhall’s head of carline brand, said: “The Country Tourer takes the Insignia story a step further.

“With its all-wheel-drive capability, raised ground clearance and rugged appearance, it adds another important dimension to the new Insignia range.”
