The driver of the red Mitsubishi sustained serious injuries in the incident in Ribbesford Drive at around 3pm on Saturday.

The man, in his 20s, remains in hospital today, as well as a female passenger, also in her 20s.

West Mercia is now re-appealing for witnesses and anyone who has dashcam footage of the collision – which saw the car career into the bedroom of a disabled six-year-old child.

They are also keen to speak to the driver of a 'sporty' looking blue Audi A3/S3/RS3, who may be able to provide information on the movements of the vehicle prior to the collision.

More from the crash:

PC Matthew Saul, who is investigating the collision, said: "We are very keen to speak to anyone who may have witnessed the red Mitsubishi Evo collide with a house in Stourport on Saturday.

"We are particularly keen to speak to the driver of a blue Audi, the Audi is sporty in appearance and maybe an A3, S3 or RS3 model. If you were driving this car or know the owner of the vehicle please call us."

The family in the house were uninjured. Shocking images shows the huge gaping hole left in the side of their home by the speeding vehicle – with the remains of the child's bed and care aids visible in the wreckage.

Anyone with information is asked to call West Mercia Police on 101, quoting incident reference number 372S of January 19.
