Woman seriously injured in two-car crash

A woman was seriously injured in a two-car crash which closed a road between Bewdley and Stourport.

Emergency services were called to the scene on Thursday afternoon

The crash happened on the B4194 Ribbesford to Areley Kings road on Thursday afternoon.

Emergency services were called to the scene shortly after 5pm.

The crash involved a black Ford Ka and a black Ford Fiesta.

The driver of the Ford Ka, an 18-year-old woman, sustained serious head injuries.

She was taken to Queen Elizabeth Hospital, in Birmingham, for further treatment.

Road closures were in place while emergency services worked at the scene.

Investigating officers would like to speak to anyone who witnessed the crash or saw either of the vehicles involved shortly beforehand.
