The boy had come into difficulty at Springfield Park just before 3pm yesterday, say firefighters.

It is not clear how the boy became stuck but he was rescued by firefighters using a triple extension ladder.

Firefighters from Kidderminster Fire Station attended the scene.

A note on an incident log revealed the boy had become "stuck" and was "rescued by crews using a triple extension ladder", said a spokesman for Hereford and Worcester Fire and Rescue Service.

The service's fire control department tweeted to say a 14-year-old had been "rescued from height".

The fire service was unable to provide further details at the time of asking.
