Police and firefighters were called to the car park at Springfield Park at around 11pm on Sunday night.

The stolen Ford Focus was found well alight, said Hereford and Worcester Fire Service.

One firefighter wore breathing apparatus to get close enough to extinguish the blaze, a spokesman said.

West Mercia Police shared an image of the burnt out car online, adding: "Last night [Sunday] at around 11pm a stolen Ford Focus has been abandoned and set on fire on the car park at Springfield Park."

Anyone with information about the car is asked to call West Mercia Police on 101, quoting incident number 670S of January 5.
