Man pronounced dead in Kidderminster

A man has been pronounced dead after police and paramedics were called to a "medical emergency" in Kidderminster.

Emergency services were sent tp Silverwoods Way in the town at around 8.45am on Friday.

The man, in his 50s, was pronounced dead at the scene.

A spokeswoman for West Merica Police said: "Police were called shortly after 9am on Friday to reports of a concern for welfare for a man in his 50s at a property on Silverwoods Way in Kidderminster.

"Sadly, the man was pronounced deceased at the scene.

"His next of kin has been informed."

Two ambulances, the Midlands Air Ambulance and a paramedic officer attended the scene.

The death is not being treated as suspicious, police said.
